This is a unique twist way of making kocho “without kocho,” using barley flour (Genfo or Beso flour) that still captures the original’s look, feel and similar taste.

1 cup barley flour (or teff, if available)

½ cup finely flour called Bula (for texture)

1–1¼ cups warm water

Pinch of salt
